Since my arrival to France, I have drawn the vocabulary of my practice in a story about war, trying to create a critical distance, to disconnect from the permanent discourse that I grew up with. Wound dressing invites to reflect on a situation at the crossroads of two different cultures. In France, new questions arise about displacement. How do the body / artist and the body / work on the move fit into the new context? How to approach and assimilate a new social, cultural and political framework? How do these questions relate to a positioning marked by a changing context? For eight consecutive years, my artistic practice has developed in an in-between state.
